You don't remember getting knocked out.

That's the best descriptor for the feeling you experience before you wake up. There's a glittering absence of color to your field of vision, and a sensation that you aren't yourself, you aren't anything in particular. Abruptly, unpleasantly, you wake up in a strange, sunny location. Where that is might vary--laying in a sun chair on the pool deck, draped over the skee-ball machine in the arcade, face down in a cart in the laundry room....or just stretched out in the long, long expanse of sand surrounding the island.

There doesn't seem to be anyone else here, aside from the others who have woken up and have as little clue where they might be as you do. It's a silent, empty island filled with a lot of questions and few clear answers. What you can conclude are a few things: that you don't get hungry or tired, that any wounds you have don't seem to either heal or worsen, and leaving the island doesn't seem to be possible.

Maybe it would be good to meet with the others who have woken up?

I don't think they do anything, actually-- they seem to just be plush toys.

It isn't much, but given the circumstances, it was the best I could think of to do. I suppose I could raid the restaurant to see what sort of food they have on hand and try to prepare something for everyone to eat, but until we know more about our situation, that seems a bit presumptuous...

Yes, these came from that little place with supplies right near the desk. There wasn't anyone there or at the desk when I was looking around.

Perhaps they're waiting to make a dramatic entrance?

I didn't see one, but I admit I wasn't looking for that in particular. We could go back down and see..

Only a few. They all seem to be like us-- not from this world, that is. I haven't encountered a single person who actually belongs here.

[He's absolutely sure it's not his, given that there's... not all that much left of his, honestly! And the closest thing to any sort of building like this would be Altamira, and this most assuredly isn't Altamira.]

I mentioned the names of some of the locations in my world to one of the young ladies here, and she said she'd never heard of them before. She also spoke of some sort of strange disease that had overtaken her world... from that alone, I can be sure that the two of us at least aren't from the same world. And this place doesn't look like anything where I come from, either.

[ He shrugs, because he honestly doesn't know one way or another, not without looking into things more. But the mention of a strange disease does have him looking around the ...elevator carriage. It's not too bad in here, but outside... ]

That strange disease might've come through here... It'd make sense for everybody to abandon the place, right? Looked like they were in a rush.

It's certainly possible, and concerning if that is the case. But there's also the matter of how we came to be here in the first place...

Fortunately, the ding of the elevator as they reach the ground floor prevents both him and Minato from thinking too much about these things.]

[ There's the slightest hesitation before Minato steps off the elevator, looking around like he's expecting something- someone?- but when his eyes catch the receptionist's desk, he makes a beeline for that.
