On early Saturday morning, anyone near the forest will hear a strange noise. It's animalistic in a way you can't particularly place, not a howl but also not exactly a roar.

The leaves rustle in the breeze.

[Time to do one of those quick transformations like when there's not enough time in the movie to go through the whole thing again.]

They're definitely surrounding us, right?

Yes. Several of them, from the sound of things.

[He's currently balanced on the balls of his feet, ready to strike as soon as he sees an opening.]

[ You were probably expecting something two feet and under, weren't you? Unfortunately, what decides to make the first jump is closer to Karen and Baldr in height, and it's got some mighty sharp claws and a shrill battle cry. There are about four of them, with one determined to get between the two castaways and force some distance. ]

[Karen's going to attempt to catch that one and throw it over her shoulder. Just do anime martial arts on the dinosaur, it's fine.]

[Baldr, meanwhile, is about to try to turn it into thinly-sliced whatever-it-is after Karen throws it. Dinosaur? He's not sure and frankly he's not about to look too closely right now.]

[ Well, that dinosaur is super dead. And the other three aren't going to chance being grabbed individually- so now all three of the survivors are charging all at once, jaws open to bite down on an arm or leg. ]

[Karen helpfully offers her arm! What?]

[Oh, false alarm, she's shooting water at them.]

[This arm has a very sharp sword on the end of it! Still want it, dinobuddy?]

[ First off: RUDE aaaaablarghableblagh-

This is not going according to plan and they are having such a bad day. Also, what the heck creature shoots water? And the claws are so long and sharp despite the body being so tiny! This sucks. You guys suck. They're running away back into the forest, screaching angrily. ]

...you know, I really thought I was done with this part of my life.

[At least they're leaving?]

We should probably check on the others.

Yes, we should... and quickly. I don't think all of them are quite as capable in combat as we are.

[There's a definite expression of concern on his face as he sheaths his swords for the time being, though his guard is still very much up.]

[pinkprismstaff]

[ It seems to get suspiciously quiet, for a second there. ]

And then, the ground starts rhythmically shaking. One, two. One, two. ]

She huffs.]

That's going to be a Tyrannosaurus.

[Whatever it is, it's really big judging by the tremors shaking the ground.

The flora before them starts to tremble...]
