week 1

The island stands as still as ever. Finding sparse answers likely hasn't been satisfying, but it seems to be all you can get on your first day at the Pink Prism Resort. You'll find that while you can sleep, you don't have any particular need to, much like your lack of hunger and lack of healing.

The next morning offers no particularly stand-out hints or clues, but maybe you'd like to take a good look around? There's plenty of space to accommodate everyone.

If scams never worked then why would anyone give their kids that talk in the first place? "Don't trust untrustworthy people" is kinda circular reasoning...

[Mahiru was definitely affected by Karen's story, so she's somewhat surprised Breanna is able to scoff at the threat so easily, especially when acknowledging that the problem is systemic.]

Let's be honest, "a trip to an island so quick you don't remember the travel time"? Kinda sounds too good to be true out of context.

I said "shady," not "untrustworthy." The thing about an untrustworthy person is they'll grift you so hard you won't even notice until they've absconded with your entire bank account. That's social engineering, baby.

[And she would never get annoyed that someone fell for that. The best grifts are so tailored they're some Amigara Fault shit: a hole made perfectly for one person. That's grifting. That's art.]

A shady person? A person who trips all your red flags? That's barely even a scam. That's willfully walking into a lion's den.

[Mahiru glances over to Gaius and Baldr who were all like, "what is social media". Mahiru is Not a Ye Olde. Surely she should know what "social engineering" is. But sadly Mahiru has never actually had to watch those myriad tacky training videos telling you not to put an unfamiliar USB into your computer. She gives up.]

Wow, I had no idea there were so many official definitions for this stuff... You really know a lot about it.
