The island stands as still as ever. Finding sparse answers likely hasn't been satisfying, but it seems to be all you can get on your first day at the Pink Prism Resort. You'll find that while you can sleep, you don't have any particular need to, much like your lack of hunger and lack of healing.

The next morning offers no particularly stand-out hints or clues, but maybe you'd like to take a good look around? There's plenty of space to accommodate everyone.

[ Hey, you know what's funny about this?

There's a light down there. Also...doesn't it seem a lot deeper than the end of the shaft? This is the first floor, right? ]

[Well that's interesting. Is this like hidden basement deep, or bottomless pit deep? And how strong of a light?]

[ The former. There definitely seems to be something underneath the first floor. That said, the light is only a soft one. If Motoi squints, he can see it's coming from underneath a door at the bottom of the pit. It looks like any old maintenance hallway door, but, if the light's on inside...? ]

[Once everyone is safe back out of the shaft Sonic is 100% gonna try to go back down there to investigate the door. Normally he'd bring back up but... if the elevator moves he's not sure anyone else can escape in time]

[ Sure! He'll have to jimmy the doorknob a bit, but he can get the door open!

It looks like a regular maintenance hallway. Hmm. ]

[He calls back up]

I found a door! I'm gonna check it out!

Why are you all shouting at an empty elevator shaft?

[says the girl who was summoned here by the sound of a hedgehog screaming that carried surprisingly well]

...Sonic is down there. He spied a doorway. He's going to check it to see what's there.

[Very loud forced sigh.]

[Gotta investigate fast.

The hallway before Sonic extends out a surprising ways. It's empty and relatively clean, but there are several doors dotting the way forward.]

[Yeah he's just gonna start trying to open them in order]

[Lucky you! These doors are open!

The first one leads into a large room. Crates were stacked high against every wall. Most of them are shut, but a few in the back seem to be open if Sonic feels like investigating further.]

[Regardless of other circumstances involving bodies or lack thereof, Aqua also starts trying doors.]

[ Karen will be able to hear a grinding of gears from one of the rooms nearby. ]

[So, before Cure Aqua runs off and catches up with Sonic, I need to ask: are there still Akutagawa remains down here?]

[Yeah sonic is jumping down there. No problem he has that hyper durability that comes with being a speedster that won't obliterate the moment he goes faster than a light jog- he'll bounce off the shaft walls a bit so he doesn't land on the... the mess. Shit. Damn. Other worlds Sonic isn't allowed to say]

[ It sure doesn't look good! That is definitely not an alive human!

It may not be the topic on his mind, but there's also a door with a light peeking out from under it, down there. ]

[He twists his eyes closed in pain, then turns towards the door. Now is serious time. He's been fooling around too long. He makes his way to the door and tries the handle]

[Then there's a cough from behind Sonic. A familiar one. His...head is swimming.]

It's dark down here.

My apologies, Sonic.

[He does end up rubbing his neck, though.]

Don't move, you probably broke something- holy cow how are you alive?! You splatted, I heard it!

I believe I just...came back. My neck hurts. Otherwise, I don't feel harmed. My head is a bit foggy too, however...

I do think I should've died. But...no. I'm fine.
